I'm starting a blog!

MVHS - I am starting a blog.

No - this isn't my first blog
No - I don't promise to add a new post on a weekly basis
Yes - I do want to connect and let you know what is going on in the library instead of waiting for Mr. Wallace to LOUDLY give announcements (Love you Mr. Wallace).

The first piece of information I wanted to share with you is a book to movie group I want to have meet this spring. Yes, I have done book clubs in the past but found it so frustrating to get meetings planned or sustain the people attending. So, I'm going to give this a whirl.

The plan is to use these three great books that are being made into movies:

  • The Book Thief
  • Divergent
  • Number the Stars
The Book Thief is first on the list. Those that haven't read the book, come check it out. The time period is World War II. Liesel is a young girl, the book thief, which goes to live with an older couple. They protect her from much of the ugliness of war. One of the most difficult parts of the book for me was that Death had a voice in the story.  Not the easiest of books to get into  but worth the effort.
The movie comes out in DVD in March. We will meet to talk and watch the movie on March 30th at 6:00 in the library.

Come and get a copy of The Book Thief and add March 30th to your calendar!
